Happy Friday everyone!

What a fun-filled week it’s been in Reception this week. We have focused on Traditional Tales this week, learning about the Gingerbread man and Jack and the Beanstalk. We had a special delivery of a class set of headphones whereby we can all listen to these traditional plays being acted out. The children absolutely loved the experience and we had some superb actors. The children pretended to climb the beanstalk, run away from the giant and even played a singing harp! This fueled some lovely drawings and writing on each of the traditional tales before the construction of a small fairytale works began!

The children have continued to settle back into school after such a long time off and our focus at the minute is to revisit key skills that have previously been taught before moving on to new areas of learning. Keep up the super work everyone!

Next Week will be Forest Schools on Wednesday. Please send children in wearing their Forest Schools clothing and a spare pair of indoor shoes if possible.

Have a lovely weekend!
