Recorder Day

On Friday 3rd July all our recorder players got together for an exciting day of making music together. We started with some games to practise techniques used in playing the recorder. We learned a new song which helped develop our understanding of musical phrases. We improvised our own rhythmic patterns, listening to one another to hear how the rhythms combined and complemented each other. We played together as an ensemble with some of our more advanced players switching from descant to treble recorders. After a busy day of playing we gave a concert to our families to celebrate all that we had achieved! It sounded amazing! Well played everyone!
