Tuesday Group – Forest School

This afternoon, we enjoyed working together as a team to build a fire lay and start a fire with the aim of cooking popcorn. Using our teamwork, communication and resilience skills, we grew the fire so that it was large enough and hot enough for cooking on. Next, we put some cooking oil in the pan then sprinkled in the corn kernels. Communicating with each other, we then held the pan over the fire until the oil sizzled and the kernels popped. Finally, we enjoyed cups of popcorn whilst talking about the skills we’d used in the session.
