UKS2 – Forest School – 1.6.26
Pupils in UKS2 have had a wonderful first day back after the half-term in their Forest School sessions. Despite the murky, wet weather, children had lots of fun and opportunities to develop their skills independently in lots of different contexts. Pupils could work in teams to use their knot skills to pitch shelters and hammocks or test their fire knowledge to create fires to roast marshmallows on. Outside, children could craft using trollen wheels to make braids and plaits, role-play in our sandpit area or use the tree areas for a number of activities including den building, mud kitchen play and making swings. Finally, children also helped move a soil delivery we received over the break using shovels and wheelbarrows to create a new ‘Dig Pit’ in our Forest School area – thank you!
