UKS2 – Newsletter – 25.06.2021

It has been a busy week in UKS2 this week. On Monday, the pupils had a French themed cross-curricular day. The first activity of the day was an art based activity. Using a range of media to complete a sunset background, the children then constructed their own Eiffel Tower pieces using art straws. 

After that, the children designed their own version of the children’s book ‘Dear Zoo’. Using their new found knowledge of animal names in French, everyone came up with their own storyboarded version of the famous book. 

Finally in Forest School, the children went outside in the drizzle to build their own zoo enclosures, perfect for their animals. They had to consider the requirements of their chosen  animal and ensure their enclosure was suitable.
