UKS2 – The Battle of Marathon

Yesterday in our English lesson, the children engaged in an exciting role play activity based on the Battle of Marathon. Through this re-enactment, they explored the formations and tactics used by both the Greeks and Persians, gaining a deeper understanding of this significant historical event. By stepping into the shoes of the soldiers and commanders from both sides, the students were able to develop meaningful dialogue and perspectives.
