UKS2 – Year 5 ONLY – Camping @ Cookridge
Camping @ Cookridge is only days away… and we can’t wait!
Please see below the key information that you need to be aware of before we begin the camping experience on Wednesday (4th June).
We’re really excited for the adventure that awaits and we are sure that your children will love every minute! If you have any questions between now and the start of Camping @ Cookridge, please get in touch and we will do our best to answer them!
Packed Lunch on Wednesday 4th June
On the first day of Camping @ Cookridge (Wednesday 4th June) your child will need to bring a pack lunch with them as they will begin activities as soon as they arrive at school. Please ensure no items within the lunch contain nuts. All other food during Camping @ Cookridge is provided.
Kit List
Attached below is our recommended kit list for Camping @ Cookridge. We would always recommend looking at the weather forecast and packing accordingly (hats/sun cream etc.).
Please be aware that there are two water-based activities. Please ensure children bring two sets of clothes that can get wet. They will need these for canoeing, paddleboarding or slip ‘n’ slide. This does not include swimming costumes/ trunks.
Also, children must bring their own sleeping bag, roll mat and pillow ready for their camping experience.
Kit list
Medication
If your child requires any medication that they would usually take at home, it is vital that this is brought in a clear, sealed bag and clearly labelled with your child’s name. You will also need to fill in the medication form that has been sent out previously (if you need another one, please ask at the school office).
Schedule
On Wednesday 4th June, children should arrive at school for normal time. They must come in clothing suitable for the weather and Forest School so that they are ready to start their first activity. Group 1 will receive additional information regarding their clothing for Wednesday, this week.
On Friday 6th June, children will finish their activities by the end of the normal school day and must be collected by an adult on their collection list
Tuck Shop
Pupils can now pay for the tuck shop via ParentPay. They will not need a token or cash, instead staff will receive a list of the amounts paid via ParentPay. This is completely optional.
Please see below full details in the final arrangements letter:
