Next week (on Monday 27th March), Year 5 have been invited to Tinshill Free Church for an Easter event. As part of our current RE topic about Christianity, this will provide a fantastic opportunity to explore and interactively understand the Easter story. The visit will bring classroom learning to life by experiencing the key features of a special place to Christians and complete related activities.
Alongside this, the children will undertake a local walk to incorporate their geography skills. As they take the short walk to the Church, they will draw a sketch map and consider the human and physical characteristics of our local area.
As this will all occur during the school day, we do not need permission for this local walk and students will be back in time for lunch. Please ensure children wear suitable footwear and bring a coat.
We are looking forward to this trip and the opportunity to explore our local area more!
