Wellbeing Forest School – 28.4.26

Pupils have had a great first session in their Wellbeing Forest School groups this afternoon and the Sun even came out too! Children in both groups learnt about loose parts and were challenged to make themselves out of sticks, leaves, stones and anything else they could find which was a natural material. Pupils then had to add items around their creation of the things they like so we could all get to know each other a little better. Pupils were very imaginative in how they made their items, which included pizza, football, computer games, family members and pets! All the children were very confident in explaining their items and why they loved them so much. Next, after we had returned the loose parts to where we had found them, we played some team games on the field. Throughout the games, the rules and dimensions were changed in order to make things more challenging or easier for the pupils and we discussed how sometimes things in life need to change to accommodate the feelings and wants of everyone to ensure they are all happy. The younger pupils even managed to visit the chickens and took turns in collecting the freshly laid eggs to sell at the office.
