Wellbeing Forest School – 29/9/26

Today in our sessions pupils spent time outdoors doing jobs around our allotment and animal areas in the school garden. The younger pupils got to meet Lara, our new 18month old British Alpine goat. They learnt a little about her and the species before learning how to walk and brush her. Pupils took turns in either walking her to a specific destination on the school field and picking up her poo to ensure the field remained clean. Older pupils completed some early Autumn jobs in the Polytunnel by removing old cucumber and tomato plants which they then cut up and added to the compost bin. Children also gave everything a good water and tried different varieties of tomatoes still growing strongly in the warm weather we are having at the moment for this time of year.
