Wellbeing Forest School – 31.3.26
This afternoon, pupils have had a great final session of their Wellbeing Forest School before the Easter Break. Our session was themed to Easter and pupils had to search the field to collect all 21 eggs which had gone missing from the box! Pupils loved it so much they then took the lead and made various Easter egg hunts for each other where we focused on resilience, problem solving and communication. After the egg hunting, pupils lit and maintained a fire in order to make chocolate Easter nests. Using fire gloves, children added in sticks and, once the cooking equipment was in place, also stirred the melting chocolate to stop it from burning. Whilst doing so, we discussed Easter, the dangers of fire and the process of melting. Once the chocolate was runny, we added it to a bowl of cornflakes, mixed it together and then scooped the mixture into bun cases. For the finishing touch, we added a chocolate egg before leaving them to set for a delicious snack for themselves or someone else!
