World Book Day Mystery Reader Sign Up

As part of our World Book Day celebrations we are hoping each class will be visited by a ‘Mystery Reader’ at 3pm on Thursday 2^nd March 2023.

The idea is that you will arrive at the main office between 2:50pm and 3pm and bring a book from home that your child enjoys listening to and read it to your child’s class. After you have read the story, we give opportunity for the children to ask you questions about it which helps with their oracy skills.

We have found in previous years when we have run this that the children have been very excited to see their family members coming in to read. We hope this will help the children to read with you at home, they’ll get to hear different stories that their friends enjoy listening to and hear different styles of reader.

In previous years this has proven to be extremely popular therefore it will be first come, first served. We will contact you if you have been chosen to be the mystery reader for your selected class.
