Y2-Reading: D4, C2

In phonics, Year 2 have been focusing on ‘mb’ saying ‘m’ and ‘al’ saying ‘or’. We’ve decoded lots of new words and put them into practise by playing boardgames, matching games and completing jumbled up word challenges to help us read and write lots of words containing our new sounds.

We’ve also been learning more retrieval skills by practising matching up facts from the text. We had to read very carefully as some facts were similar to others!
