Y2 – Reading : D4, Reading : C2 – 23/01/2026

In Phonics, we have learnt ‘eer saying ‘ear’ and the ‘ture saying ‘cher’ sounds. We’ve completed lots of fun activities including matching captions to pictures, bingo and even wrote our own sentences using the new words we learnt. In reading, we have focussed on how to answer retrieval questions using our ‘skim’ and ‘scan’ techniques. We drew pictures to match the captions and we have also had a practise on Spelling Shed!
