Y5 – Maths: N10, N11, N12- 3.3.26

Yesterday in Miss Boyd’s maths group, we revisited and consolidated our learning on fractions. We began with a game of Times Table Knockout to practise our multiplication facts. We then moved on to placing non-unit fractions with the same denominator on a number line. To challenge ourselves further, we extended our number lines to include mixed numbers and improper fractions.

After that, each group was given a fraction and tasked with working out what needed to be added to find a new target fraction. Finally, we enjoyed an active game outside, where we worked in pairs to search for and match equivalent fractions using hoops on the field.
