This week in maths, Miss Barnicoat’s group continued their African adventure challenge, and took to the playground. After building upon their previous learning of addition using the formal written method, the children were challenged to convert between kilometres and metres. Using place value grids, and their understanding of dividing and multiplying by 10, 100 and 1000, the children used several steps to complete their tasks. Well done Year 5.
