Y6 Group 2 – Little Beck Farm

Today was the second visit to Little Beck Farm for our pupils. Whilst there, children learnt about pollination, honey, bee hives and then acted out collecting nectar from different flowers in the paddock in a variety of games. Children also got to help Farmer Rowan milk one of her goats, make and taste cheese, learn about animal life cycles and make butter which we spread on crackers to taste. It was an extremely busy day and everyone had a great time getting hands on and practical in such a wonderful setting.
