Y6 Group 3 – Little Beck Farm

It was Group 3’s turn to visit Little Beck Farm today for the final visit from our pupils this month. The children loved learning about bees and how they produce honey from the nectar they drink in flowers. They were amazed to discover how a beehive works and how the honey bees produce can be different colours and tastes across a summer due to the flowers they visit. Pupils also loved meeting the goats and pigs on the farm and asked lots of interesting and relevant questions to Farmer Rowan. Children loved helping her milk one of her goats, making butter and cheese which were both tasted and enjoyed at the end of a very busy day on the farm.
