This week in maths, Year 6 have been looking at how we use ‘Powers of 10’ to multiply and divide. They have been using place value grids that include decimals to support this. Today, the pupils put this knowledge in to action by calculating with different measures and converting appropriately to provide alternative equivalents. They explored capacity using water, mass using scales and rulers for length.
