Y6 – Sausage Sandwiches – Forest School

Today has been a great way to end the Year 6 pupils’ Forest School sessions with Mr Gamble as we made sausage sandwiches. Using our fire lighting skills and knowledge of maintaining and growing a fire to cook on, as well as building on their cooking skills from previous sessions where we have made omelettes and pizzas, teams created a fire and prepared frying pans, sausages and bread rolls. Carefully turning the sausages and ensuring they didn’t stick to the bottom of the pan, pupils learnt how to cook them on the job and achieved perfectly cooked sausages each time. After sharing how delicious they were, there was a sudden influx of staff orders which the pupils organised, prepared, cooked and delivered to rave reviews! Well done Year 6!
