Year 3 – Fire Lay Recap – Forest School – 10.6.26

Following on from last week’s Forest School session and in the run up to our Viking Days in two weeks, pupils in Year 3 revisited fire lays. We discussed and shared knowledge and ideas of where things went wrong last time and what the groups today needed to do in order to achieve. Pupils then worked as teams to create fire lays which would set on fire in readiness for next week’s sessions where pupils will try again. Groups persevered with their fire lays and were able to set them alight. During our review and reflection at the end of the session, they all decided that their fire lay making skills had improved and were full of confidence for the next session where they will be lighting fires and keeping them alive for a longer period of time.
