Year 5 – Science Catapult Competition
In Science last week, children had a chance to design and build a catapult. We tried and tested all of the catapults for distance and accuracy. The children who made the winning catapult took part in a competition at Ralph Thoresby, where they competed with other schools in the area. Our catapult came third out of all the schools there. The children also had to make and present a powerpoint all about the construction of their catapult, which they did articulately and confidently. After the competition, they took part in a Forensic Science investigation. Well done to those who participated!
