Year 2 have really enjoyed getting stuck into their new phonics sounds these past few weeks. We have looked at ‘kn’ saying ‘n’ and adding ‘ing’ and ‘ed’ to words ending in y. We have played games and completed challenges to help us read and write lots of words containing these sounds.
Alongside this Year 2 have been focusing on vocabulary and understanding word meanings. We have been matching words to their definitions, ticking the correct word meaning and even have even begun answering multiple vocabulary questions from a piece of text.
