EYFS – Forest School

This morning pupils in Reception had a great time at Forest School and, despite the forecast for rain, we enjoyed glorious Autumnal sunshine! Children had the opportunity to play and explore in our Forest School area using the swings, the trees, sandpit and mud kitchen. Children were also challenged to create dens using longer, heavier sticks and tarps. Children were asked to create a shelter to fit themselves and their friends inside whilst making it waterproof and they certainly didn’t disappoint! There were some fantastic structures built and the way they used their tarps to create a roof and sides to ensure everyone inside stayed warm and dry was fantastic! Children created disco dens with glow sticks and they created their own drums and sang songs and danced away – you were all absolutely brilliant Reception!
