Reception – Pancakes – Forest School

With school being closed next week for half-term, pupils in Reception got a real treat today – to celebrate Pancake Day a whole week early! Pupils helped Mr Gamble and Mrs Pattison make the pancake mixture by following a recipe and instructions given to them as well as keeping the fire going and learning about fire safety. Once cooked, children shared their pancakes and could choose from a variety of toppings including chocolate and strawberry sauce or lemon juice which made for a delicious, warm snack on yet another dull, wet and miserable day! And to that end, there was still time for the children to find the mud puddles and mud slides in our Forest School area to their sheer delight!
