Year 6 – Key Dates and Information

Firstly, I just want to say a huge well done to our/your Year 6 children! They coped magnificently with SATs this week and embraced the challenge with a smile on their faces. 

Now that SATs are out of the way, the events for Year 6 come thick and fast. I have outlined as many key dates as possible for you below. Further information will be sent out seperately to provide your with more details but thsi will give an overview of what is coming. As I’m sure you can appreciate, this takes a lot of planning and organising and it may mean some dates clash with transition to high school – we have worked hard to avoid this as much as possible.

I have not included the transition dates for high school as we have children going to many different schools. I have added all the transition dates (that I am currently aware of) to the school calendar but if you need any further information about transition to high school, please contact the high school directly. On any transition days, your child should not come to Cookridge Primary School. Please arrange your own drop-off/pick-up procedures.

3rd – 5th June – Weardale Residential

8th – 12th June – Bikeability (further info to come)

17th June – Y6 Eden Camp

23rd June – DWF Law Visit – Group A (further info to come)

24th June – Sports Day – KS2 Morning Session

30th June – DWF Law Visit – Group B (further info to come)

8th July – Leavers’ Disco (further info to come)

10th July – Y6 Hickory’s Breakfast (further info to come)

13th July – Inflatable Day (further info to come)

14th July – Y6 @ Great Yorkshire Show

16th July – Leavers Assembly @ 2pm – Please send in a baby photo to the school email address of your child – info@cookridge.leeds.sch.uk

17th July – Last Day – Year Clap out at 3pm

There may also be other dates added to this so please keep a close eye on the school calendar and notifications being sent.
