Y6 Leavers’ Assembly and Clap Out 2026

Leavers’ Assembly

Our Year 6 Class of 2026 are nearing the end of their primary school journey! We would love to invite parents and carers of our Year 6s to join us for our Leavers’ Assembly on Thursday 16th July 2026 at 2pm. 

This is the day before our final day.

We ask that no more than 3 family members attend per child as we have all of KS2 in the hall and space is limited. We will open the bottom gates from 13:50 aiming for a 2pm start.

We look forward to seeing you all for a great celebration!

Clap Out

On Friday 17th July, our Year 6 children will be leaving Cookridge Primary for the final time and we want to send them out in style!

As Year 6 have permission to walk home alone, they will be leaving 10 minutes before the end of the school day (15:10). The rest of the pupils of Cookridge will line the playground and clap and cheer them out to send them on their way to high school. This means Year 6 pupils will be leaving from the main playground gates before the rest of the schools’ usual home time routine.

We would love as many Year 6 parents/carers as possible to join the end of the tunnel at the gate and other parents as well to be outside school to clap them out. Please ensure our children are able to walk on the paths outside of the school though!

Year 6 parents, if your child is at Beehive or does not have walking permission we will ensure they still take part.

If your child is down for Beehive but you do not want them to attend that day, please ensure you remove them from Magic Booking.
