UKS2 – Monotype Printmaking – Art – 12.10.26
Our UKS2 pupils have been exploring the art technique of monotype printing to create colourful and textured papers inspired by different natural disasters. Working in small groups with limited resources, the children demonstrated excellent collaboration and teamwork skills, sharing materials, exchanging ideas and supporting one another throughout the creative process. They experimented with a variety of colours, patterns, marks and layers, carefully considering how their artistic choices could represent the powerful forces of nature, from the fiery reds and oranges of volcanic eruptions to the swirling blues and greys of storms and floods. Throughout the lesson, pupils developed their printing skills, creativity, problem-solving and communication, showing how working together can lead to imaginative and effective artistic outcomes.
