Y2 – Miss Devine’s Maths Group – Ten More and Ten Less – 13.10.26

We’ve been busy mathematicians in Miss Devine’s maths group, exploring how to add and subtract 10 using practical resources! We used Base 10 equipment and place value charts to help us see what happens to a number when we add or take away a ten. We soon spotted a clever pattern: the ones digit stays exactly the same! We had lots of fun testing our ideas, building numbers and using what we noticed to help us solve calculations.
