LKS2 – Science: ScIn1.2 – 10/09/26
In Science, we asked scientific questions to help us experiment on how to make a lava lamp. First, we discussed what it means to be a scientist and discussed that a scientist is a person who studies the world around us by asking questions, making observations and carrying out investigations. We then looked at the method of how to make a lava lamp and made one as a whole class. Sadly, the experiment did not give us the results we desired so, like all good scientists, we asked questions and carried out another investigation. We asked questions like: ‘What would happen if we use more water?’, ‘Would the temperature of the water make more bubbles?’ and ‘What would happen if we used more vitamin tablets?’. Then, in groups we made another lava lamp and observed the results.
