Year 4 had great fun with two Halloween themed circle games: Pass the witch’s broomstick and Pass the pumpkin. If they were ‘out’ in the broomstick game they went into the middle and accompanied the song on xylophones. If the pumpkin landed on them they had to come up with a dance move for us all to copy. We then listened to four pieces of music linked to a theme ranging from classical to pop to jazz. The children had to match up statements describing the music to the correct piece.
