KS1 – Science – Working Scientifically – 22.10.26
Our young scientists have been busy investigating, observing and asking questions!
We began by exploring how clues can help us find answers. Through our ‘zoom out’ activity, the children looked carefully at images, shared their ideas and discussed how new clues could change their thinking.
Across our Rainbow Provision, the children became scientific detectives! They used magnifying glasses to explore natural objects and food, matched animal footprints, sorted fur and feathers, investigated balance scales, observed changes in fruit drawings and experimented with building free-standing towers.
We also learnt how to gather and record data. We created a giant class graph to discover our favourite ice cream flavours before collecting and recording our own data about our favourite farm animals.
