UKS2 – Newsletter – 14.05.2021

It has been an exhilarating week in UKS2.

On Monday in PE, UKS2 tried their hands at Kwik Cricket. Using a range of batting, fielding and running skills, the children had a brilliant time trying to dodge the rain!

On Tuesday in French, the pupils in Class 9 had a lesson based around adjectives, colours and body parts. The students created a colourful image of their own monster, which they described in a French paragraph.

In science, class 10 have been exploring the lifecycles of different animal groups and using a Venn diagram to compare them. We are looking forward to exploring lifecycles further in our science topic.

Finally, in Forest School this week the children were tasked with a Forest School task in conjunction with Mental Health week. After being give a scenario, UKS2 were tasked with selecting 3 objects from a list of helpful items and planning their survival. Some fantastic shelters were created (some even had flooring) and the children enjoyed a fresh afternoon in the school grounds.

Remember, Monday is a cross curricular day so children need to attend school in Forest School clothing.
