Forest School – Bird Feeders

Although unusually mild, it is still winter and that means less food for birds to eat in our school ground. So, Mr Gamble’s Forest School group came up with a way of helping our feathered friends at this time of year by creating bird feeders to hang in our school environment. Using an ice-cream cone, string, peanut butter and bird seed, pupils tied knots, cut string to the desired length to create something they were very proud of. Hopefully, these feeders will benefit UKS2’s current project work on creating bird boxes for our school environment and nesting season later in the spring.
