UKS2 – Newsletter – 28.06.19

Wow! It has been another extremely busy week in UKS2 and the weeks seem to be flying by. Across the phase, the pupils have been creating their own gifts to be sold at the Summer Fayre next weekend. In Class 9, the children have grown their own chilli plants, decorated their own plant pots and made their own clay tags. In Class 8, they have collected and dried their own leaves from the school grounds and created their very own bookmarks from these. Furthermore, in Class 7, they have been using their knowledge of knots to create unique friendship bracelets. Make sure you visit our stalls on the 6th July!

Year 6 have continued their work experience at DWF with Group 1 completing the course with a Jaffa Cake debate. Group 2 have started their adventure and were very excited to explore the different departments of this multi-national law firm. Year 5 visited Breary Marsh for a Forest School session where they created their own assault courses and worked on teamwork and communication.

Just a quick reminder for Year 6 parents that next week is the start of Bikeability and also it is the majority of the high school transition dates. Please contact your child’s high school if you need any further information for the transition days.
