Class 5 – Forest School

Class 5 bravely confronted the elements this afternoon to build upon their growing knowledge and skill in fire making. After recapping how to create a spark and the different types of fire lays, groups began the task of lighting a fire and keeping it alive – which proved rather tricky given the wind, rain, snow and sleet we experienced all in an afternoon. Despite this, pupils never gave up, solved problems independently and worked together to achieve the challenges set. Well done everyone!
