EYFS Newsletter – 17.12.21

Ho ho ho! It’s been a fun, festive (and frantic) week in Reception but we’ve all had a great time.

The first half of the week was spent polishing the Christmas production of ‘Christmas Counts’ before our performances on Wednesday. Sadly we weren’t able to invite you all in to watch but we did have an audience of children to impress and the children did an amazing job! Miss Rushworth did an impressive job of editing the video so you can now watch in the comfort of your home at your leisure and beam with pride.

On Thursday the children greatly enjoyed meeting the big man himself as Santa visited school armed with lots of presents for all the good boys and girls.

The rest of Thursday was a fun Forest Schools session with popcorn made on the fire, craft activities and an exploration of our treehouse. Much fun was had by all.

We’ve all had a blast getting ready for Christmas and the children have helped with making cards, baubles, picture frames and paper chains. We hope you all have a fantastic Christmas break and we’ll see you all in January for a new term!

P.S. Thank you so much for all the thoughtful and generous gifts we have received this week – they are all very much appreciated.

P.P.S. The first day back of the new term is Tuesday 4th of January which will be a P.E. day for Reception class so can children please come dressed in their P.E. kits. Thank you!
