Forest School – Wellbeing Wednesday

Today we worked on developing our social, environmental and physical wellbeing in our Forest School sessions. The KS2 group worked as a team to replenish the fire pit with play bark. Using spades, rakes and wheelbarrows, pupils communicated with each other, set jobs, quality assessed and moved over two tonnes of chippings. At the end, we discussed how a job well done can impact on our mindset and wellbeing. Everyone agreed that being active, helping the school environment and seeing the finished outcome was extremely satisfying. Younger pupils also discussed the important role being active has on wellbeing and enjoyed the chance to further explore the treehouse, where pupils role played fast food shops, the swings and the ninja slackline.
