Fundraising/Non Uniform Day Thursday 30th March

As a school community we would really like to help support one of our families and would love you to help us.  Our first fundraising event will be held on Thursday 30th March in the form of a Non Uniform day, suggested donation of a £1 but please give what you can.  Information will be on Parent pay but you can also donate money on the day.

Please help us to support Mathew through Bowel Cancer Surgery

Information provided by Claire, Mathews wife.

Mathew is due to have major surgery in April to treat stage 4 bowel cancer. We’re asking for donations to support him and his family during his treatment. Mathew was diagnosed with bowel cancer (colon cancer) in October at the age of 44. His disease is advanced and he has already endured a tough chemo regimen for 3 months. He has now been given a lifeline in the form of major surgery at a specialist hospital 200+ miles away from his home in Leeds.

Mathew is a freelancer and will need to stop working for a while. He doesn’t receive any benefits (there is a 6-month backlog for PIP with no guarantee he will get it). We’re reluctantly asking for help to cover our essential bills while he recovers from the op. We’d also like to make sure his children can travel to visit him in hospital. If we exceed our target, any extra funds will be used to make him comfortable during recovery, and potentially cover the cost of extra treatments or medicines that are not available on the NHS. Many thanks to everyone who has been a huge support to us: Mathew’s friends, our parents, Claire’s work colleagues, and the staff at our children’s school and nursery. We could NOT do this without you!https://bit.ly/support-mathew
