As you will know, we have recently started learning about Africa as our topic in KS1. This week’s geography lesson focussed on collating what the children already knew about Africa and addressing any misconceptions that they had about Africa. We worked in groups to look at and discuss 14 different photographs. We immediately recognised some of these places that we had visited in the UK and we were also certain about some places in Africa. However, some of them caught us by surprise! We learnt that Africa has many different climates, landscapes and features.
