LKS2 – C6&7 – Maths

Over the course of this week, we went around school as well as outside and used things we could find to help us with our understanding of Thousands. To start with, we identified different things to represent Thousands, Hundreds, Tens and Ones (apples, sticks, leaves etc). Then, we made different numbers using this and answered lots of challenges, including ‘Can you make the biggest number you can think of?’. Then, we had to work out which numbers our friends had made. We also begun to partition the numbers on our whiteboards, thinking about the values of each column.
