LKS2 – Class 5 and Class 7 – English

Yesterday, Miss Evans’ English group had an enjoyable and very creative lesson! We have been learning about the Amesbury Archer, a Bronze Age man whose grave was discovered near Stonehenge. Not much is known about him, and archaeologists have never figured out how he died. So we came up with our own ideas…was he killed by a sabre toothed tiger? Was he killed in battle? Did another tribe attack him?

The children worked in groups to devise their own version of the Amesbury Archer’s death, and role played the story outside. This will form the basis of a story plan which will be written later in the week!
