This week, Year 3 looked at the fundamental skill of jumping in PE. We learned and explored how bending knee/s before take off to allow your body to spring and explode forwards, swinging arms provide momentum and pushing hips forwards as you take off. We also explored hopping, using non-hopping foot to propel forwards. We then looked at sinking low on your landing by bending your knees and pushing your bottom backwards, keeping your chest upright and swinging your arms in a downwards direction past your bottom and put your heels down to give you a bigger surface area to land on.
