Today, the Year 4s went outside to continue their learning on decimals and fractions. We used equivalent fractions and our knowledge of tenths to help us explore hundredths. We used an empty hundred square to represent fractions (e.g. 3/100, 7/100 etc). Then, we considered how you would write a fraction (or a number smaller than 1) as a decimal, using a place value chart and our new vocabulary to visually represent this.
