LKS2 – Year 3 – PE

Year 3 enjoyed another afternoon of cricket today! Our focus this lesson was batting. We started by learning how to correctly hold the bat, working in groups to hep each other and give tips. Then we completed a warm up activity which involved dribbling a ball in and out of cones. This helped us get used to holding the bat and worked on our hand eye coordination. Then we talked about the importance of accuracy when hitting the ball. In groups of 4, we set up a small game with one bowler, one batter and two fielders. The batter had to aim the ball between a particular set of cones, thinking carefully about finding a gap in the fielders’ space.
