LKS2 – Year 4 – Writing

Today, we started our learning about our new grammar goal – paragraphs. Some of us were given a set of sentences from a fact file which had all been jumbled up. We had to group the sentences together into 3 paragraphs, making sure they were all about the same topic/theme. Then we ordered the sentences within each paragraph and finally, added suitable subtitles which fitted the chosen the chosen theme. Others were given lots of clues about a house, and had to organise the information based on the room in the house. This has helped us to think about the purpose of paragraphs and identify how they help to organise texts, specifically when they are non-fiction.
