Nurture Group – Forest School

What a busy morning we’ve had in our Forest School session. We began by completing our sensory circuit activities to stimulate our minds and bodies before watering the wheat seeds we planted a couple of weeks ago. It was great to see green shoots appearing and, with the warmer days, we hope for even more in the coming weeks. Then, we turned our attention to the book we have been reading – Jack and the Beanstalk. After a wonderful story time led by Miss Newell, pupils planted their own magic bean seed and buried some of the giant’s gold coins in the sand pit to make sure he couldn’t find them. We then visited our animals to see if any of them produced anything golden (like the giant’s hen) and cuddled and brushed the guinea pigs who thoroughly enjoyed being pampered!
