Reception – Superhero Forest Schools

This morning Reception immersed themselves in the world of superheroes in our Forest School session. They made superhero dens and hideouts, making sure they were camouflaged in case of baddies discovering their lair. Children also created a new superhero mask using loose parts and natural materials, scissors and glue whilst others helped Mrs Phelan cook a superhero stew. Pupils told her what ingredients to add to the mixture and what super power it would give the people who ate it. Needless to say, after eating the soup, all the children took on new superhero powers! The final activity was doing what every superhero does and saving the day! We had some animals marooned on an island surrounded by lava and only by working together could our brave Reception superheroes rescue them.
