Strike Action Partial Closure – 5th July and 7th July – Classes Reception, Class 2, Class 4 and Class 6

Dear Parents and Carers,

As you are no doubt aware the National Education Union (NEU) has coordinated two days of strikes (The reason why we had to move Sports Day). 

The strike days are on Wednesday 5th July 2023 and  Friday 7th July 2023 and will have an impact on the provision we can offer in school, on those dates for some classes.

With the information we currently have, school will be closed to Reception, Class 2, Class 4 and Class 6.  

I know this can be frustrating for parents, and organising childcare at short notice (Teacher’s do not have to tell the school if they are striking but we do try to give you as much notice as possible) is always very difficult, but please remember that it is a democratically voted action by the teaching union named above.  

Should anything change in the meantime, you will be contacted as soon as possible. I’d like to thank you for your patience, support and understanding during this time.
