Tuesday Group – Forest School

To celebrate the end of National Nest Box Week (14th-21st Feb) this afternoon pupils helped to improve the habitat for nesting birds in our Forest School area. Children cleaned out next boxes from last year and discussing why they were, or weren’t, used by our feathered friends. To choose more appropriate sites, children wandered around the grounds with compasses looking for suitable trees and structures which were east facing (recommended by the RSPB to shelter next boxes from the westerly winds and rains).
